Works great for me! Not sure why the other reviews are so bad, maybe they got lemons. I personally have no issues with this and it works perfectly fine in my 60 gallon fish tank. It does not sink unless you have the controls set to dive and even then if the IR on the remote loses contact with the sub the motors all stop and it floats to the surface. I did have to use fresh batteries as a set that I had that were partially used did not work (they still worked in a low power device like a TV remote), once I put fresh batteries it worked great. When the batteries get too low the sub will stop working as soon as it goes under water as the power drain is too much for the batteries however as I mentioned before it floats as soon as the motors stop.I suspect there are a few broken ones out there and those are the only people that have taken the time to review it.

Indoor Fish Tanks only Infra red (IR) does not transmit thru glass and attenuates rapidly in water. Received this as a gift, tried it in the pool before reading the box, disappointed. Cannot return because it is out side the return window. Might work well in a fish tank?
